life turning into a depressing situation as everything around me appears to fail.
okay this is also supercharged by me just plugging some hole of failure with some other things to “Temporary” fix them.
just now my Streaming computer (which handles all the audio, some controlling items and trading systems as well) failed.
the graphiccard went out .. i shut it down and it just never came back on. i changed the 2060 with a 1070 i had lie around, but it still not posting, so i guess its something larger.
well one of the screens connected to this computer had a backlight failure about 2 months ago, so i was working on this one half-blind anyway, now its just full-blind i guess.
well this is just the top of the icebearg really.
2 days ago, wife and kids decided to watch Squid Game 2 .. so i put a small Computer on the TV in the living room (we never use this tv)
turned it on, it worked for about 20 minutes and switched off by itself.
about 3 years ago the “smart TV” in the bedroom that was naver smart in the first place stop working as well. (i never bothered to fix it as i’m not a fan of TV in bedroom anyway.
my iMac (the macine is use for like 98% of my work besides trading execution itself) has a thermal issue, i basically can do only “light stuff”, even playing a video on youtube or a quick preview via finder, will lead to the GPU temp to explode. beyond 107 Degrees Celsius leading to thermal throttleling by about 80% .. making the computer unusable for about 10 minutes.
the Trading computer started 2 weeks ago to constantly play the USB disconnect sound, showing Nothing at all in any of the logs .. so somethings is soon about to go bad there too.
my iPhone 7 constantly runs out of battery, even i replaced the battery just 4 months ago.
thats just the things that come immideatly to mind, there are a few other things is just ignored or dismissed (like the water issue in the bathroom, the broken window in the living room, the fact there there is no electicity outside because somethings is messed with the cabeling, and te have basically zero working airconditioners at this point.
which greatly sped up the degradation of the computer stuff due to heat issues.
i guess, at this point, this is al way beyond salvage judging by the current state of finances.
it’s time to come up with a plan-b which will involve some massive changes.
